Hello, I am Miriam owner and founder of Sweet Chunks. I grew up in the small town of Lindsay California and recently moved to Bakersfield to attend California State University Bakersfield. I've always loved baking. Growing up I was always in charge of baking for family events and holidays. Things really started to pick up when my nieces started getting older. I am the aunt that goes out of her way to bake cookies for valentines day or make their teachers a special cake pop arrangement to say how much they are appreciated. Heck I am that aunt that when my niece says her friends want cake pops I make them just because. I had never put much thought into a baking business however, when I made cake pops as a gift for my best friends daughters birthday I was bombarded with inquires. My biggest motivators to start this business were my sisters and my best friend who all believed in my ability to create delicious desserts.
